War is over!

Russian president Medvedev gave an order to stop the peacekeeping operation in Georgia.

Congratulations to all the people! Although beast isn't neutralized, its "claws" were "cut-off" during the last 24hours, when Russian army roamed Georgia from (military) base to base... Can we call that a "homerun"?

The murderer Saakashvili, who sent his troops to kill civilians and to die from righteous retribution- is a lowly coward himself

I can't believe the man who gave order to murder thousand, who was ready to ruin Osetia and his own country Georgia wasn't ready to die... It just doesn't comes together in my head. How he can be so much afraid to die, can't believe it.

Also, notice all the civilian traffic on the streets of Gori, looks like that "ruined by Russians city of Gori" citizens are more afraid of their president's shrieks then of Russian bombs.

Why Russia is bombing targets in Georgia outside of South Osetia

(follow up to the previous messages 1, 2)

As Georgian military is attacking, bombing and shelling the South Osetia (Ossetia) territory and civilian settlements and positions of the peacekeeping forces in particular from the Georgian territory (outside of Osetia) Russian military has to shut those sources of death and destruction.

Why Russian army is in Georgia now

Just a note for my friends overseas. I've checked some informational agency available to the western public, and want to make a short note to answer just this 1 question.

Short:

Russian peacekeeping force was under attack by superior Georgian forces and was reinforced to be able to survive and work on its mission of stopping violence in South Osetia

Long:

War is started

Georgia, a state supported by USA, launched an assault on Tskhinvali, the capital of South Osetia (Ossetia), http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7548715.stm, US, UK and France are moving fleets to the proximity of Iran, (4-6 carrier groups, quite a force) http://europebusines.blogspot.com/2008/08/massive-us-naval-armada-heads-....
The main question is how much will it spread? Will Georgian provocation pull Russia into the war? Will Russia try to escort tankers to Iran and be attacked by the armada going in for the blockade, what will China do in response to the new threat?

Hostgator hosting

Hostgator hosting
It is 1 year since I was choosing the hosting for my 3 sites. Year ago I was digging the net for hours, reading all the forums I could find, comparing plans from dozens of hosting companies and even starting hosting with few of them. That left a tiny scratch in my blog.

Having all the great offers nowadays, I've decided to stay with my current host. That being a hostgator.com.

Hostgator isn't the cheapest, and it doesn't have the fanciest bullet lists around. But when I look on what a website needs I see hostgator gives it all and more for the price, where there is no competition.

Moneybookers is available in Ukraine now.

Great news. Excellent UK based online payment service Moneybookers is working in Ukraine now. Well, actually the news is about 3 months old, but its better late then never.

$$$ Is it the beginning of the end? $$$

Here in Ukraine food prices jumped very high, our national bank head says they printed a lot of national currency (UAH) to buy out the dollar, so the cross-course between USD and UAH stays the same, as we have our currency tied to the USD.

Today I've received the news, that situation is the same in Russia, they have tons of RUR printed, to buy out the USD, to keep the course stable. The prices for main food positions increased about 80% in September.

Voice communication review

While working with foreign party, some may be confused by the distance.

But today communication is easy and cheap.
One way well known is e-mail. Then there is instant messaging. This are well used and I won't cover them here.

What I want to write about is voice communication. Today you can use your phone or even just a headset plugged into your PC to talk freely with anyone in the world, cheap or virtually for free.

Here is the short rundown of the services known to me:

Playing pool while sitting in your chair?

To be honest, I'm not playing either pool or Russian billiards much lately.
